FilterFlix decides what to filter on your device, not on our servers. We don't collect, store, or transmit your viewing activity. We don't know what you watch, when you watch, or what you skip.
That is a property of how FilterFlix is built, not a promise we could quietly walk back. As FilterFlix reaches more devices, this stays true: the decision to mute, blur, or skip is made where you are watching, and never leaves it. If that ever has to change for a specific feature, we will say so plainly and ask first — we will not redefine "private" after the fact.

We built FilterFlix with a privacy-first architecture. This isn't just a policy statement—it's a fundamental design principle. Filter decisions run on your device, not on our servers. The Chrome extension (v1.5.0 store build) does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any user data — including voluntary “catalog contribution” features, which are disabled in this build.
If you contact us by email or join a future waitlist on this website, we receive only what you choose to send (for example an email address or message text) so we can reply. That is separate from the extension, which does not transmit data in the current store package.
The FilterFlix browser extension filters content locally on your device and transmits nothing about what you watch. Specifically:
Earlier designs considered optional scene contributions. Those features are off in the current Chrome Web Store package — the extension does not offer a contribution form and does not call third-party form endpoints. If we re-enable voluntary catalog submissions in a future version, we will update this policy and the store data disclosure before shipping that change.
If we later offer accounts and paid plans, creating an account means we store the account and billing details needed to operate your subscription (handled by our payment processor). Even then, we do not collect your viewing history. This section will be updated before any such feature launches.

The marketing site’s contact form posts to Formspree so we can receive messages you choose to send (email and message text). That is separate from the Chrome extension. The v1.5.0 store package does not embed Formspree and does not offer in-extension contribution forms. Formspree’s handling of form submissions is governed by their privacy policy.
